How Electrolysis Works
Precise energy delivery
A tiny probe is inserted into each hair follicle. A small burst of energy destroys the growth cells at the root — permanently.
Multiple sessions
Hair grows in cycles, so multiple sessions ensure every follicle is treated during its active growth phase. Most areas require 8–18 months of treatment.
Permanent results
Once a follicle is treated, it cannot regrow. Electrolysis is the only method recognized by the FDA as truly permanent hair removal.THE STORY BEHIND BARE
I’ve been where you are.
After years of waxing, shaving, and laser appointments that never quite delivered on their promises, I was exhausted — emotionally and physically. Every method felt like a temporary fix with permanent frustration. Ingrowns, irritation, regrowth. Rinse, repeat.
Then I discovered electrolysis — the only method the FDA recognizes as truly permanent. For the first time, I saw real, lasting results. But finding a practitioner in Toronto who offered the level of care and experience I was looking for? Nearly impossible.
So I decided to become that practitioner myself. I got certified, trained extensively, and built BARE to be the clinic I always wished existed — approachable, thorough, and deeply committed to giving people the confidence that comes with never worrying about unwanted hair again.

Most clients describe the sensation as a slight sting or warmth — similar to a pinch. We use topical numbing cream and the latest technology to minimize discomfort. Many clients relax or even nap during sessions.
-
Laser targets pigment in the hair, which means it works best on dark hair and light skin — and it's classified as 'permanent hair reduction,' not removal. Electrolysis destroys the growth cells of each follicle individually, making it effective on all hair colours and skin tones, and the only method the FDA calls permanent.
-
It depends on the area and your hair growth cycle. Most areas require regular sessions over 8–18 months. During your consultation, we'll create a personalized treatment plan with a realistic timeline.
-
Virtually any area of the face or body — including upper lip, chin, jawline, eyebrows, underarms, bikini line, legs, fingers, and toes. If hair grows there, electrolysis can treat it.
-
Yes. Unlike laser, electrolysis does not rely on skin pigment, so it's safe and effective for every skin tone and hair type — from very fair to very dark — with no risk of hyperpigmentation.
-
We'll start with a consultation to assess your hair, skin, and goals. If you'd like to proceed, we can begin a short first treatment on the same day. You'll leave with a personalized plan and pricing. Please make sure to come with at least 4 days of growth so we can properly treat you.

Sessions can be booked in 30 and 60 minute durations. 30 min sessions are $90 and 60 min sessions are $150. During your consultation, we'll provide a personalized quote based on your specific needs and treatment plan.
